In 2017, the BCFA – Design Insider held its first ever BCFA Open Spring design Exhibition, which took place in London’s trendy Shoreditch, at The Old Brewery. Renowned for its industrial alternative edge, the venue was the perfect backdrop for BCFA members to feast their eyes on the latest in contract interior products. Members like to get their hands dirty and as such we were enlisted to organize a creative workshop to get the creative juices flowing.
The Method Touch: With the mandate set to deliver an inspiring and hands-on session for members, we worked with the event organisers to arrange a Surface Pattern workshop with creative duo Chris and Suzanne Carpenter AKA ‘The Patternistas’. In order to fulfil the brief with high expectations, we worked with The Patternistas to create a workshop that would excite and delight BCFA members and allow them to get to grips with simple tools and immerse themselves in the rhythm of repeat pattern making.

Personal Highlight: We scheduled 2 workshops to run on the day and both sessions were sold out prior to the event. The success of these workshops has led to the BCFA making workshops a prominent feature at future events.
